Week 7: The blister finish

The Blister has been finished in this Monday of the week, which the edge also was cut to follow the shape.  Then, the two blisters that my team member - Ting Ting and my was ready to cut from the large aluminum sheet. The iron compasses was used to measure the distance between the shape and the proposed new edge we would to follow and cut it.  Finally, the two similar shapes were able to match each other.

Week 6: The tray was finished, the blister start

The trays had been finished in this week, my team member - Ting Ting' s and my trays can be closed together with similar edges and thickness. Using the sander to flat the four edges was the key point to match the trays together.  The last items in this skills development process is the blister. Before the class, I looked the video -  Metalshaping tricks # 5 from Youtube to achieve the general idea what to do in the class.  Firstly, the tutors help us to create the module, two MDF boards was cut and the middle part was cut for the main shape of the blister. My team member - Ting Ting and I chose the generally round shape with a small sharp on one side. Four holes was creates for the nails to hold the metal sheet in the middle, which make the sheet not be moved during the hammer beating.  Secondly, I started to hit the metal sheet with the eggshaped mallet, it has two different type shapes, using smooth side to hit the large area; while the needle side t
